I'm leaving DA for a little while and will be back on February 14th. I need this really badly since at the moment I'm not making any new art beyond some basic ballpoint pen doodles and a huge part of that is the sheer amount of time I spend looking at stuff on DA. (seriously, look at and and and tell me you didn't spend two hours looking at their stuff.)

Also, I hate admitting this, but I also spend a lot of time staring dumbly at my sketchbook thinking, "Anything I draw will NEVER be as popular as or or ESPECIALLY ." I know it's stupid but the favorites TOTALLY mindfuck me in the worst way. I have two pieces of crayola-colored Salad Fingers yaoi in my gallery that have more than 50 favorites, and then I have all kinds of important personal achievements and meaningful pieces that I actually tried on that have less than 15. I know it's just the way that this site works and deviants will always fave certain kinds of work and there's no point in complaining about it, but it still secretly eats away at me and changes the way I come up with art. So, I need to go away for a while, so I can stop thinking about what other people will think or like, and just do whatever without worrying about whether anyone will even see what I draw.

I will still update my livejournal but not with pictures unless I draw something that is SO GOOD that my hair will catch fire if I don't show it to someone.

I would also like to add a special note to certain people who have been watching me for a long time, and who comment frequently; you people are made of love and gummi bears. I won't name you because I'm sure you know who you all are. I love all the constructive crit, insight, support and funny observations you guys give me. Thank you to everyone who has always taken the time to type out their thoughts to me.
